American singer, songwriter, actor, and record producer Justin Timberlake is currently in the news due to his detention for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) on June 18, 2024.
According to the police report, Justin Timberlake was caught in Long Island, New York, and taken to police headquarters, where he was processed.

Before his detention, Justin Timberlake told the officer that he had consumed only one martini and was following his friends home.
However, the police determined he was driving under the influence as he had glassy eyes, a strong odor of alcohol on his breath, and slowed speech.
When asked to take a chemical test, Timberlake responded, “No, I’m not doing a chemical test.”
Moreover, he performed poorly on a field sobriety test and refused a breathalyzer test. This refusal occurred at 12:52 a.m., shortly after his detention.
There are also reports suggesting that Timberlake has struggled with alcohol in the past. Moreover, his recent arrest has resurfaced an interview from 2006 in which he admitted to past drug use.
Regarding the case, a parody account, “Poo Crave,” spread false allegations of Justin using drugs. This went viral on social media without proper verification.
However, this mentioned source is doubtful as there is an official report stating that he used drugs.

According to the official report, Timberlake has been charged with DWI and cited for running a stop sign and failing to keep in his lane.
He has been released on his own recognizance, and according to court records, his next court date is scheduled for July 26.
