The Fizz recently announced that member Mike Nolan will leave the band at the end of the year, leaving the band’s future in the hands of Cheryl Baker and Jay Aston.
The Fizz is a British pop music band formed in 2004 as a spin-off from the original Bucks Fizz group.
Bucks Fizz was an English band consisting of four original members: Bobby G, Mike Nolan, Cheryl Baker, and Jay Aston.
The band rose to fame in the 1980s after winning the 1981 Eurovision Song Contest with the catchy song “Making Your Mind Up.”
However, over the years, the group’s lineup changed several times, leading Bucks Fizz to form two separate groups.
Three of the original band members, Mike Nolan, Cheryl Baker, and Jay Aston, have been performing as a separate band, The Fizz, since 2011.
