“An Evening with Anita Baker” scheduled on 11 May 2024, on its show cancellation, made fans burst out in anger side to side them being worried about Anita’s health concern.
The doors opened at 6 p.m. for the event, but the organizer announced that it was canceled just 6 minutes before it was supposed to start.
Neither Anita Baker nor her team has spoken to the public about the show’s cancellation.
The official news was shared on State Farm Arena at 6:54 via their website and wrote,
Due to late, unforeseen circumstances, tonight’s “An Evening with Anita Baker” event featuring eight-time Grammy-winning superstar Anita Baker set to take place at State Farm Arena, has been canceled. Refunds will be returned at point of purchase.
Hundreds of Pissed Fans Took Their Social Media to Pour out Their Disappointment
Many people chose to give their mom Anita Baker’s concert ticket as a Mother’s Day present, but the plan didn’t go well.
After the show’s cancellation, most of the people attending the concert took their Twitter to attack Anita Baker verbally.

One of the angry concertgoers tweeted,
this was my mother’s day gift to myself and how about she canceled the concert while we were standing in line! i spend $180 for the ticket and $55 for parking! this is trash.
Another fan chimed in with disappointment and said,
If I paid to fly my mama in town, book a hotel and stuff to stay, buy the concert tickets, outfit, spend time on hair and makeup, and pay for parking and ANITA BAKER cancels her show minutes before it’s set to start? Y’all would have to PEEL me off that lady.
But the hate trend was not the only thing that was running on Twitter. One of the fans became conscious of her well-being and said,
Not sure what’s going on with Anita Baker and I hope that she’s well. Older stars touring (which seems grueling) to make money is tough to watch. Frankie Beverly literally cannot sing anymore but is still on the road. A true indictment of the industry.
