Josh Harris’s Troubled Past Led to His Departure from “Deadliest Catch”

Discovery Network officially announced that Josh Harris will not be part of future projects.

Josh Harris, a cast member of “Deadliest Catch,” has been excluded from the latest season of the Discovery Channel series. The network terminated his contract in 2022 after the revelation of his 1998 incident.

Born on March 18, 1983, Harris is one of Captain Phil’s two surviving sons, following his father’s crab business legacy.

Josh’s father was a well-known figure on Deadliest Catch, which highlights the challenges faced by crab fishermen and their crews in the unpredictable Bering Sea.

Following that, Josh continued his father’s legacy by appearing on the show in 2007.

What Happened To Josh Harris From “Deadliest Catch”?

At the start of Season three, Josh Harris debuted in 2007 on Deadliest Catch: Behind the Scenes as a greenhorn on his father’s boat, Cornelia Marie.

After his father, Phil Harris passed away from a stroke in 2010, Josh chose to be Cornelia Marie’s new captain.

In 2020, he starred in Deadliest Catch: Bloodline, exploring the Hawaiian islands using his late father’s maps.

Josh’s life took a tragic turn in 2022 when his dark past started circulating around the Internet.

In 1998, media reports surfaced allegations against Josh, who was accused of an assault on a 4-year-old child when he was 16.

Later, in 2022, after his conviction was revealed, Harris and Cornelia Marie were removed from the” Deadliest Catch.”

The network officially announced that Harris would not be part of future series episodes or its spinoffs.
