Gypsy Rose Blanchard Holds American Nationality with Mixed Roots

Gypsy was born to parents Clauddine “Dee Dee” and Rod Blanchard in Louisiana, USA. She holds American nationality with mixed ethnicity.

Her mother, Dee Dee, hailed from Louisiana, whose family background included a mix of Cajun and Creole influences. Moreover, her father has a diverse cultural background, which is not publicly available.

Also, there is speculation that Gypsy has a Cajun accent which could be influenced by her origin from South Louisiane.

However, their relationship was short-lived, and they eventually separated shortly before Gypsy was born.

Despite the divorce, Rod maintained a close relationship with her daughter, Gypsy, during her early years.

As Gypsy got older, the two became estranged due to Dee Dee’s control over many aspects of her life, including unnecessary medical treatments.

Gypsy’s mother continued to manipulate her, making her undergo years of intense medical treatment that she never needed.

In June 2015, Dee Dee was murdered when Gypsy’s boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn, initiated the murder plot, and she agreed.

After this tragic incident, Rod mended his relationship with his daughter. He even attended a homecoming party when she was released in December 2023.

Despite the tragic circumstances, Gypsy and her father reconnected and supported eachother. Her stepmother, Kristy Blanchard, is also a part of her loving and supportive members now.

Gypsy’s family history is complex, marked by abuse, manipulation, and tragedy. Despite this, her father, Rod, has played a significant role in her life, especially after her mother’s death.
