The NFL community is mourning after the sudden and unexpected demise of a Pro Football Hall of Famer, Larry Allen, with no reports of his weight loss.

Larry Christopher Allen Jr., born on November 27, was an American professional football player.

He played as a guard in the National Football League (NFL) for 14 seasons, primarily with the Dallas Cowboys. 

Additionally, he was a key player in the Cowboys’ victory in Super Bowl XXX over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Unfortunately, he passed away at the age of 52 while on vacation with his family in Mexico on Jun 2, 2024.

Larry Allen, the Legendary Dallas Cowboys, weighed 325 pounds (approx 147.5 kg) prior to his demise.

He was known for his incredible strength and athleticism during his career. However, there is no specific record regarding Larry Allen’s weight loss before his passing.

It is uncommon for retired athletes to lose weight due to a decrease in the rigorous physical activity required by professional sports.

Regarding his early life, Allen grew up in Compton, California, and had a troubled childhood. He contracted meningitis and almost died at six weeks old.

Additionally, at the age of 10, he was stabbed 12 times in the head, shoulder and neck by a young neighbor while trying to protect his brother.

Despite these challenges, Allen persevered and achieved great success in football.

The legendary offensive lineman for the Dallas Cowboys, Allen was regarded as one of the NFL’s physically strongest player ever.

One of his most famous feats was bench pressing 700 pounds. The video of him bench pressing has resurfaced and is once again going viral on social media.

Additionally, during the 2006 Pro Bowl Skills Competition, he impresively bench-pressed 225 pounds 43 times.

His impact on the game and the lives of those around him will be remembered for generations to come.
