Star Wars Project Stardust has the Potential to Destroy Entire Planet

In 21 BBY the secret construction of Project Stardust began.

Project Stardust is the codename for the Imperial effort to make the superweapon Death Star. Long history awaits the success of this project, as it has been destroyed twice before.

Project Stardust was also named the Ultimate Weapon Project, which saw the construction of the first Death Star superweapon.

In the series, Tarkin declared that all the money that was distributed for Project Necromancer would be redistributed to Project Stardust.

Project Stardust first appeared with its codename in the 2016 spinoff film Rogue OneL: A Star Wars Story. Since then, the project has not been removed from the series.

Project Stardust Was Named After Scientist Daughter Jyn “Stardust”

The ultimate decision to create Project Stardust was to make a superweapon capable of destroying entire planets.

The Galactic Empire enforced this project during the Clone Wars, when Supreme Chancellor Sheev Palpatine established the Death Star project.

Only a handful of individuals, including Orson Krennic, knew about the weapon before it was fully developed.

The first Project Stardust was fully destroyed by the Alliance to Restore the Republic During the Battle of Yavin.

The same empire also developed the second, which was ultimately destroyed at the Battle of Endor.

The name for this project was coined by the Key scientist Galen Walton Erso, who named his daughter Jyn “Stardust.”

The project again started after Tarkin said how Hemlock’s work had set the Empire back long enough.

Regardless of all the dark work left by Hemlock (Defeated at the end of season 3’s ending), Tarkin decided to bring back the Project and stop the Project Necromancer.

Not only did Tarkin stop providing to fund Project Necromancer, but he also explained why this project’s construction began picking up speed in Dark Times.

Sith Lord Darth Tyranus was First Provided with “Death Star” Plans

While the first Battle of Geonosis was being fought, Project Stardust’s plans were provided to the Sith Lord Darth Tyranus by the Genesis leader Poggle the Lesser.

During the Republic era, the project’s advancement happened rapidly with the help of the Strategic Advisory Cell.

Lord Sidious later acquired a massive kyber crystal from the planet Utapau during the Clone Wars, which he wanted to use in the project.

However, the crystal was later destroyed by Anakin Skywalker and Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi.

After the end of the Clone Wars, Emperor Palpatine continued the project, but later, Poggle and the Geonosians betrayed the Empire and started destroying it but failed to do so.

Moving forward, before the Battle of Yavin, the Rebel Alliance stopped the project with the help of Rogue One. Since then, the Project has been code-named Project Stardust.
